Who is Onision? is a non-profit website created by Onion Critic with the goal of providing a free, collaborative, and easily accessible knowledge base pertaining to all relevant topics surrounding Onision. We do not include advertisements on this site, so all expenses of this wiki are paid for by donations from the staff and users.

Why Help Us?

If you're reading this, chances are you have some familiarity with Onision and the subjects surrounding him. Perhaps you have even taken a look at some of the legal documents posted to the site, or have enjoyed being able to access content that would otherwise be hidden behind a paywall. Maybe you have used this site as a jumping off point for your own research into Onision. Regardless, a site like this is critical to maintaining an easily available, collaborative archive of material and ensures that anyone can access, correct, or add information as this case evolves.

Please do not feel obligated to donate. This information is intended to remain free and accessible to all. You are welcome to source this information no matter your ability to donate. Additionally, should the website ever be removed, a copy of its contents in its entirety will be added to Onion Critic's archive.org account so that anyone may continue the site's legacy.

In the interest of transparency, below is a table of associated costs with running the site, as well as certain contributions to it.

Annual hosting and domain registration Keeps the site up and running so that anyone can access it. Currently, we use a small shared plan through NixiHost, which keeps annual costs pretty low. $60 annually
Accessing court documents Court documents are accessible through PACER for a small fee. Each document lookup costs 10 cents, while accessing a document costs 10 cents per page accessed. For example, checking the docket in PACER costs 10 cents, while accessing a copy of a two-page court record costs 20 cents, meaning that a document costs 30 cents total to access. $0.00 currently

The easiest way to donate is through our Ko-Fi account in $2 USD increments. It links directly to PayPal and will allow Onion Critic to thank you personally. This link will also let you use a debit or credit card, if you so choose.

Please note that any donations are unlikely to be tax deductible, as Who is Onision? is not a registered non-profit organization. Please check with a tax advisor for more information, if this is something that is important to you.
